....Well, actually the state. Even better.
Our Sunday Mother's Day brunch was fabulous. Fifteen family members and family friends gathered at a large table, eating a lovely brunch, drinking champagne, talking and laughing. Three of our kids were with us (D1 is still at school) and life was almost perfect. Almost.

It should be a peaceful summer. The Beau Hunk has left. D2 has just landed her first job. I hope by the end of the summer the Beau Hunk will be a distant memory... for all of us.

Teen drama...I really do not miss that stage of my life. :)
ReplyDeleteI keep telling myself I only have 5 years left of girl teen drama left... 9 if I count the boy... :(
DeleteConfession: I was waiting anxiously for this post when I saw your Twitter reference. Poor, heartbroken D2. :( My bet is that she finds someone else at her summer job and is asking, "Beau hunk WHO?" by Sept!
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'm hoping for! That, and I hope whoever is next in line is super nice, respectful and was taught some manners. Am I asking too much???
DeleteNot at all! I hope she doesn't settle for anything less than that!
ReplyDeleteI have three little girls... is that what I have to look forward to in 10 years. Oh, why can't they just stay little! I wish the beau hunk much success and safety in the military. Perhaps they can whip him into shape for the next young lady:-)
ReplyDeleteI hate to tell you, but you'll be banging your head against a wall when they reach HS. :(

ReplyDeleteI love it. But poor girl. First "loves" may be hard to forget, but hopefully it'll be just that...a memory. Much, much safer that way. Good kuching to ya both!
ReplyDeleteI'm so relieved he's gone. IF he comes back, I hope he's a completely different person.
DeleteThanks!
