Teen Tales: Victoria Secret
While walking through the mall yesterday with our son, LB, we passed by Victoria's Secret. The store front still displaying their racy Valentine's wear along side oversized photos of the VS uber-models wearing nuttin' but bras and panties.
As we walk by, LB peers into the store and says to me, "Remember when I was little and I hated walking in front of this store?"
"Yes... I do," I say.
"Wellllll.... I don't anymore!"
Dear God, Are you there? It's me, Emma...

Yikes! She is growing up Mama, I am terrified of the teen years. My daughter is 4 and begging for a bra!
ReplyDeleteVS is the devil in a merry widow. I hate their campaigns that market to my 14 year old.
ReplyDeleteThat's so funny! Soon enough he's going to have a girlfriend. My brother is 15 and has his first girlfriend. It's weird to me. I mean, I changed his diapers and all of the. But they like eachother so I'm happy for him.
ReplyDeleteHaha how mortifying! Even as an adult I feel awkward walking by their store with the larger than life mostly naked models plastered across their store front!
ReplyDeleteBoys! I even hate walking by their windows. I don't want to know what a young boy thinks when he sees those nice girls. ahhhhh!
ReplyDeleteReady or not - it happens! Enjoy, you've laid the foundation for a sturdy building.
ReplyDeletehaha! thanks for the good laugh. at least you know his hormones are working. :) maybe its time to have "the talk" ....oh the teen years. I'm going to humiliate my children. I CAN'T WAIT!
